Utah's first privately run prison. The con-quest program is located here at the Promontory unit. This is a 400 bed, dormitory style, medium security therapeutic community. The Con-quest program is a residential substance abuse treatment program that lasts 12-18 months and usually is followed up by the aftercare program at the low security Lone Peak facility. Each dorm contains 50 men. Was shut down for four years because of lack of funding. Con-Quest used to be housed in the Oquirrh unit. Inmate are called residents here. On Thursdays the residents spend all day in their sections doing group activities.
